At the opening ceremony of SCG DAYs 2026,
Tatsuji Suzuki, Chairman of the Shibuya Center Shopping Street Promotion Association and the event’s organizer, delivered the opening address.

With the excitement of the opening act still lingering, the ceremony took place on a special stage set up in the heart of Shibuya Center-Gai. Many visitors stopped to watch and observe the scene.

In his speech, Chairman Suzuki strongly declared:
“Shibuya is not merely a place for consumption. From here, we aim to share the unique appeal of regional communities and create a new model in which cities and local areas support one another.”

Following the opening ceremony, SCG DAYs 2026 officially got underway.
