We’re looking for street live performers at “MAPS,” a street bar in Shibuya Center Street, where your music can reach international visitors.
What is MAPS Street Live?
MAPS Street Live takes place at “Shibuya Street Bar MAPS,” a street bar located just steps from the arch gate of Shibuya Center Street. It offers a unique live experience that combines the open-air feel of street performance with the relaxed atmosphere of a bar.
Unlike a live house, where you perform mainly for people who came specifically to listen to music, MAPS Street Live allows your music to naturally reach people walking through the city, including international visitors.
At the same time, unlike a typical street performance, it is not entirely dependent on the conditions of the street. Because MAPS is also a bar, people can more easily stop and listen, while performers can express themselves in a more comfortable and secure environment.
In the very heart of Shibuya, MAPS Street Live offers both “music you encounter by chance” and “a space where people actually stop and listen.”
Located in the highly visible Shibuya Center Street area, it gives performers the opportunity to reach many inbound visitors.
That is MAPS Street Live.
Shibuya Street Bar MAPS
It is a space that combines the freedom of the street with the calm and comfort of a bar, where people passing through the city can naturally stop by.
During the day, it is opened as a free rest space for international visitors, and on weekends, it hosts “Shibuyabai Market.” It has also been used for participatory outdoor advertising initiatives in collaboration with SHIBUYA CITY FC of the Kanto Soccer League Division 1.
Beyond being a bar, its role continues to expand as a place where art, culture, and technology intersect.

Your sound really reaches Shibuya Center Street, so it’s great that so many different people get to hear you.
People passing by stop to listen, and international visitors do too, so I felt like there were encounters you wouldn’t usually have.
It’s on the street in Shibuya Center-Gai, but acoustic performances are allowed, so you don’t get stopped by complaints. I’m really grateful for that. lol
The decorations change with the seasons, and the atmosphere is really emotional. I think it’s so nice to be able to perform in a space like this.

Because it’s in Shibuya Center Street, there are many chances for international visitors to hear you, and it’s really fresh and fun to get reactions you don’t usually experience.
It feels like a street live performance, but since it’s a street bar, you don’t get stopped and can perform with peace of mind.
The staff are all kind, and they lend me a chair, so I usually perform while sitting. And having Wi-Fi is honestly amazing. lol
The decorations are cute and always fun to look at, and as a performer, I feel it’s a really welcoming place.

Canceled in case of rain.
A decision will be made and announced by 3:00 PM on the day.
【Prohibited】
- Performing at excessive volume
- Drum performances or large ensembles
- Any actions that obstruct pedestrian traffic
- Applications are limited to Japanese residents only.
【Compensation】
There is no performance fee; however, drinks will be provided.
We will also promote and feature performers on this blog and our social media.
【Cancellation】
If you need to cancel, please notify us in advance.
Please note that no-shows without notice may result in future bookings being declined.
Performers available for ongoing appearances will be given priority.
Photos and videos taken during performances may be used on this website and our social media.
