🏮The “7th Shibuya Bon Odori” was held right in the heart of Shibuya🏮

On Saturday, August 8, the “7th Shibuya Bon Odori” was held in the area around SHIBUYA109!

This year, approximately 67,000 people attended the event, with international visitors accounting for about 30% of the total, drawing a large crowd from both Japan and abroad. A traditional festival stage was set up in front of SHIBUYA109—a spot usually bustling with traffic—where people dressed in yukata formed a large circle to dance.

This year, LiSA and Egashira 2:50 also made appearances, further energizing the crowd. It became a summer scene unique to Shibuya, where a diverse group of people—including local residents, Shibuya workers, young people, and foreign tourists—came together to enjoy the festivities.

The “Shibuya Bon Odori” is where Shibuya’s long-standing traditions meet new cultural trends.
It looks set to continue being a beloved event that brings color to Shibuya’s summers for years to come!
