【Featured in a Video】Try Japanese Calligraphy in Shibuya! A Hands-Free, Authentic Cultural Experience
Just a short walk from Shibuya Scramble Crossing.
At Shibuyabai Ichi, a market held in a corner of Shibuya Center-Gai, you can not only shop for kimono and Japanese goods, but also enjoy cultural experiences such as Japanese calligraphy (Shodo).
This time, inspired by a YouTube video featuring the calligraphy experience, we’d like to introduce Shibuyabai Ichi once again!
What is Shibuyabai Ichi?
Shibuyabai Ichi is a market-style event held in a corner of Shibuya Center-Gai.
- A variety of Japan-inspired items are available, including kimono and traditional Japanese goods
- A friendly atmosphere that both tourists and locals can enjoy
One of the best parts is that you can enjoy both shopping and cultural experiences in one place—making it easy to add to your Shibuya sightseeing plan
The event is usually held every Thursday and Friday from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
We share the latest updates on Instagram, so be sure to check it out—and feel free to stop by anytime!
