The “Harajuku Omotesando Genki Festival Super Yosakoi 2026” was held over two days, Saturday, August 29, and Sunday, August 30, in the Harajuku and Omotesando area!

This year, 107 teams—comprising approximately 7,200 dancers from Japan and abroad—participated, performing dynamic dances at various venues, including Meiji Shrine, Harajuku Omotesando, Yoyogi Park, and the zelkova-lined avenue in front of NHK.

Vibrant costumes, the sound of naruko clappers, and powerful dances brought the streets to life, and Harajuku and Omotesando were buzzing with a huge crowd. We were able to enjoy up close the unique and distinctive performances of each team.

“Super Yosakoi” brought color to the end of summer.
It was two days brimming with excitement, blending traditional Yosakoi culture with the unique energy of the Harajuku and Omotesando neighborhoods!
